你们领受圣神吧
（若20:19-23）
各位弟兄姐妹，
今天是我们天主教会的四大节日之一——圣神降临节。由于圣神降临的那一天正好是犹太人的五旬节，因此圣神降临节又称五旬节。圣神降临标志着教会时代的开始，是教会的诞生日，因此圣神降临节为我们教会来说，具有特殊的意义。在今天这个教会诞生的大喜日子，我以今天弥撒福音中复活的主耶稣向宗徒们嘘气时说的一句话“你们领受圣神吧！”为道理题目，跟大家分享圣神降临所带我们的信息。
一、圣神的降临
曾有人问:既然圣神降临节是庆祝圣神降临的节日，那是不是说，圣神以前没有降临过，圣神降临节那天才首次降临呢？不是的！其实，圣神与圣父和圣子在世界尚未创造之前，就在世界上，只是没有公开地、外在地、正式地被赐下，一直到耶稣死而复活升天后十天，才公开地、隆重地、外在地、正式地被赐下。
（一）非正式降临
今天弥撒福音中记载，一周的第一天晚上，复活的耶稣向门徒们显现，并向他们嘘了一口气，说：“你们领受圣神吧！”这是耶稣藉着一口气，非公开、非正式地把圣神赐给门徒们，没有明显的标记可以看见。
耶稣对门徒们吹一口气，就像创世纪中，天主赋予亚当生命时，在他鼻孔中吹了一口气时一样，圣神成了教会的灵魂，教会的生命。
（二）正式地降临
今天弥撒的读经一宗徒大事录所记载的圣神降临则是公开地、隆重地、外在地、正式地被赐下。
“五旬节日一到，众人都聚集一处。忽然，从天上来了一阵响声，好象暴风刮来，充满了他们所在的全座房屋。有些散开好象火的舌头，停留在他们每人头上，众人都充满了圣神。”（宗2：1-4）从这段圣经的记载，圣神降临时，出现了三个奇特的景象：
1.天上忽来响声。在旧约中记载，每次天主降临都有大的响声，或雷声、或闪电，或地震，或山崩碎石。因为天主是大而可畏的神。圣神降临时伴着响声，证明圣神是三位一体天主的第三位，是天主藉着圣神的降临完成祂的救赎计划。
2.好像暴风刮来。暴风象征圣神能力的强大，圣神像暴风一样能使人发生彻底的改变。
圣神降临后，伯多禄宗徒判若两人，就是圣神能力的显现。他抛弃旧业，宣道一次三千人悔改，胆小的他最后为主受死，被倒钉十字架。
圣保禄宗徒被称为伟大的外邦人的宗徒，他的传教取得了很大的成功，使很多人归信主耶稣，到处建立教会。圣保禄传教成功的秘诀是什么呢？他自己说：“我的言论和我的宣讲，并不在于智慧动听的言辞，而是在于圣神和他德能的表现。”（格前2：4）圣保禄传道得力的秘诀完全是靠圣神的大能的帮助。
3.如火焰的舌头。舌头不是真的舌头，是如火焰的舌头。火焰也不是真火，而是表明圣神降临有完全洁净的能力，也就是圣神能净化门徒的心，焚烧门徒的罪恶心。
今天的弥撒福音记载，复活的主在显现门徒们时，向他们吹了一口气，说“你们领受圣神罢！你们赦免谁的罪，就给谁赦免；你们存留谁的，就给谁存留。”也就是复活的主愿把圣神赐给人，并愿人借着领受圣神获得罪过的赦免，心灵得到净化。
这像火焰的舌头是分开落在房屋内每个人的头上，这在表明房屋内的每个人都被圣神充满了。
二、圣神的作为
在今天弥撒的读经二中，圣保禄宗徒很清楚地告诉了我们圣神为我们做了什么？
第一，圣神感动我们，引导我们，圣化我们的一切工作。
圣保禄宗徒说：“我告诉你们，……除非受圣神感动，没有一个能说：‘耶稣是主’的”。（格前12:3）
有人或许会说，呼叫一声“耶稣是主”是轻而易举的事，谁不会呀？何必要麻烦圣神呢？光是口头上喊喊当然很容易，但若由心底通过口发出，则必须要由圣神的感动才能发出。
所以，各位弟兄姐妹，你们之所以来领洗信天主教，早晚念经祈祷，主日来教堂参与弥撒圣祭，做善工，行善事，连你们的一个善念、一句善言，全都是出于圣神的感动而实现。
第二，圣神使人团结一致、合一共融。
圣保禄说：“我们都因同一圣神受了洗。成了一个身体，又都是同一圣神所滋润的。”
圣神降临日，圣神使门徒们说外国方言，打倒了语言、种族的隔墙，而使那些“从天下各国来的人”，都彼此了解，信奉了基督。当天就有三千多人要求受洗。是圣神将天下万民，集合在耶稣的门下，把他们团结起来，组成一个教会大家庭。
今天的弥撒福音记载，当复活的耶稣向门徒嘘了一口气，就对门徒们说：“你们领受圣神罢！你们赦免谁的罪，就给谁赦免；你们存留谁的，就给谁存留。”也是复活的主，不仅愿把圣神赐给人，更愿人借着领受圣神获得罪过的赦免，心灵得到净化，从而使人重新与天主和好，与人和好，与自然和好。
三、圣神的领受
我们如何知道一个人有没有领受圣神呢？圣保禄宗徒告诉我们，一个真正领受圣神的人，他在生活中一定会结出仁爱、喜乐、平安、忍耐、良善、温和、忠信、柔和、节制等果子，也就是圣神九果（迦5:22-23）
这九个果实，我们要从我们每一个人的身上去观察:
有没有仁爱和良善，还是反过来我们只有恨和冷漠；
有没有平安和喜乐，还是我们每天常常的忧虑、郁闷；
有没有温和与忍耐，还是我们的脾气常暴躁、不耐烦；
有没有忠信和节制，做人做事忠信二字，我们今天社会讲得很少，但我们基督徒要忠信；
节制，我们上网没有节制，看电视没有节制，娱乐没有节制，工作没有节制，这一切都展现在我们身上的是缺少圣神给我们的恩惠和礼物。
柔和，我们有时做事是出于好的目的，但因方法不一样，效果就完全不同。强硬的方法常常坏事，而柔和的方法则往往成事。
这些圣神的果实看起来是人性的德行和修养，但是对于我们基督徒来说它来自于圣神，是圣神的果实和效用。
反省
各位弟兄姐妹，最后让我们反省以下四个问题：
1.圣神在什么时候，正式公开降临？
2.圣神降临时的奇像：暴风声、火舌具有什么意义？
3.圣神来为我们做了什么？
4.如何知道一个人领受了圣神？

Receive the Holy Spirit!
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, this evening we are celebrating Pentecost. In today’s Gospel reading, we hear that the apostles, imprisoned and bound by fear, have locked themselves into the upper room, and that “Jesus came and stood before them…Then he breathed on them and said: ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive men’s sins, they are forgiven them; if you hold them bound, they are held bound.’ ”
Do you know and experience in your life the gift and power of the Holy Spirit? After his death and resurrection Jesus promised his disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit. Receive the Holy Spirit! Jesus knew his disciples would need the power of the Holy Spirit to carry out the mission entrusted to them. The gift of the Holy Spirit was conditional upon the ascension of Jesus to the right hand of the Father. That is why Jesus instructed the apostles to wait in Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high (Luke 24:49).
Why did they need power from on high? Just as Jesus was anointed with the Spirit at the beginning of his ministry at the River Jordan, so the disciples needed the anointing of the Spirit to carry out the mission entrusted to them by Jesus. The Holy Spirit is given to all who are baptized into Christ to enable us to live a new way of life – a life of love, peace, joy, and righteousness (Romans 14:17).
The Holy Spirit fills our hearts with the love of God (Romans 5:7) and he gives us the strength and courage we need in order to live as faith-filled disciples of Jesus.
The Spirit helps us in our weakness (Romans 8:26) and enables us to grow in spiritual freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17; Romans 8:21).
The Spirit instructs us in the ways of God, and guides us in living according to God’s will.
The Spirit is the source and giver of all holiness. Isaiah foretold the seven-fold gifts that the Spirit would give: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).
The gift of Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the spiritual gifts and blessings of God are made possible through the death, resurrection, and ascension of the Lord Jesus. After his resurrection Jesus “breathed” on his disciples and gave them the Holy Spirit. Just as God breathed life into Adam, so the gift of the Holy Spirit is an impartation of “new life” for his people. With the gift of the Holy Spirit a new creation begins. God recreates us for his glory. Jesus’ gift of peace to his disciples was more than an absence of trouble. His peace included the forgiveness of sins and the fullness of everything good. Do you want power to live a faith-filled life as a disciple of Jesus? Ask the Father to fill you with the power of his Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13).
Basil the Great, a fourth century church father, wrote on the work of the Holy Spirit: “The Spirit restores paradise to us and the way to heaven and adoption as children of God; he instills confidence that we may call God truly Father and grants us the grace of Christ to be children of the light and to enjoy eternal glory. In a word, he bestows the fullness of blessings in this world and the next; for we may contemplate now in the mirror of faith the promised things we shall someday enjoy. If this is the foretaste, what must the reality be? If these are the first fruits, what must be the harvest?” (From the treatise, The Holy Spirit) Do you thirst for God and for the life of the Spirit within you?
Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of Pentecost and for new life in the Holy Spirit. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and set my heart ablaze with the fire of your love that I may serve you in joy and freedom.
