data-font-family=\"\u5fae\u8f6f\u96c5\u9ed1\">\u4eca\u5929\u5f25\u6492\u7684\u8bfb\u7ecf\u4e00\u7531\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4f9d\u6492\u4f9d\u4e9a\u6240\u5199\uff0c\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u9f13\u52b1\u6240\u6709\u610f\u5fd7\u9893\u5e9f\u3001\u6d88\u6c89\u7684\u4eba\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a\u5728\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u6d41\u4ea1\u5df4\u6bd4\u4f26\u671f\u95f4\uff0c\u6709\u8bb8\u591a\u4eba\u5bf9\u5929\u4e3b\u5931\u53bb\u4fe1\u5fc3\uff0c\u8ba4\u4e3a\u4ed6\u7684\u8bdd\u65e0\u6cd5\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u8bb8\u8bfa\u96be\u4ee5\u5b9e\u73b0\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u4ed6\u4eec\u89c9\u5f97\u8fd4\u4e61\u3001\u5efa\u56fd\u3001\u91cd\u5efa\u8036\u8def\u6492\u51b7\u6839\u672c\u6ca1\u6709\u5e0c\u671b\u3002\u5148\u77e5\u770b\u5230\u5f88\u591a\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u8fd9\u79cd\u60b2\u89c2\u5931\u671b\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\uff0c\u5c31\u9f13\u52b1\u4ed6\u4eec\u8bf4\uff1a\u201c\u4ece\u6211\u53e3\u4e2d\u53d1\u51fa\u7684\u8a00\u8bed\uff0c\u4e0d\u80fd\u7a7a\u7a7a\u5730\u56de\u5230\u6211\u8fd9\u91cc\u6765\uff1b\u53cd\u4e4b\uff0c\u5b83\u5fc5\u5b9e\u884c\u6211\u7684\u65e8\u610f\uff0c\u5b8c\u6210\u6211\u6d3e\u9063\u5b83\u7684\u4f7f\u547d\u3002\u201d\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\uff0c\u5929\u4e3b\u8a00\u51fa\u5fc5\u884c\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a\u5929\u4e3b\u7684\u8bfa\u8a00\u5fe0\u5b9e\u4e0d\u6b3a\uff0c\u5929\u4e3b\u7684\u8a00\u8bed\u6709\u521b\u9020\u529b\uff0c\u4e00\u8bf4\u5fc5\u6709\u7ed3\u679c\u3002\u5982\uff1a<\/span><\/p><p no root they withered away\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\">Are you hungry for God&#8217;s word? Brothers and sisters in Christ. Matthew tells us that Jesus taught many things to those who came to listen and learn.\u00a0Jesus&#8217; teaching method was a very simple one.\u00a0He used parables \u2013 short stories and images taken from everyday life to convey hidden truths about the kingdom of God. A good image can speak more loudly and clearly than many words. Jesus used the ordinary everyday to point to another order of reality \u2013 hidden, yet visible to those who had &#8220;eyes to see&#8221; and &#8220;ears to hear&#8221;. Jesus communicated with pictures and stories, vivid illustrations which captured the imaginations of his audience more powerfully than an abstract presentation could.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">What does the parable about seeds and roots say to us about the kingdom of God? Any farmer will attest to\u00a0the importance of good soil for supplying nutrients for growth.\u00a0 And how does a plant get the necessary food and water it needs except by its roots?\u00a0 The scriptures frequently use the image of fruit-bearing plants or trees to convey the principle of spiritual life and death. &#8220;Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.\u00a0 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit&#8221; (Jeremiah 17:7-8; see also Psalm 1:3).<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Jesus&#8217; parable of the sower is aimed at the hearers of his word. There are different ways of accepting God&#8217;s word and they produce different kinds of fruit accordingly.\u00a0 There is the prejudiced hearer who has a shut mind. Such a person is unteachable and blind to what he or she doesn&#8217;t want to hear. Then there is the shallow hearer. He or she fails to think things out or think them through; they lack depth. They may initially respond with an emotional reaction; but when it wears off their mind wanders to something else.\u00a0 Another type of hearer is the person who has many interests or cares, but who lacks the ability to hear or comprehend what is truly important.\u00a0 Such a person is for ever too busy to pray or too preoccupied to study and meditate on God&#8217;s word.\u00a0 He or she may work so hard that they are too tired to even think of anything else but their work.\u00a0 Then there is the one whose mind is open.\u00a0 Such a person is at all times willing to listen and to learn. He or she is never too proud or too busy to learn. They listen in order to understand. God gives grace to those who hunger for his word that they may understand his will and have the strength to live according to it.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">This parable of Jesus is a warning to those who hear and who preach the word of God.\u00a0 What makes us\u00a0ineffective and unresponsive to God&#8217;s word? Preoccupation with other things can distract us from what is truly important and worthwhile.\u00a0 And letting our hearts and minds be consumed with material things can easily weigh us down and draw us away from the treasure that lasts for eternity.\u00a0\u00a0 God&#8217;s word can only take root in a receptive heart which is docile and ready to hear what God has to say.\u00a0 One lesson is clear: the harvest is sure.\u00a0 While some seed will fall by the wayside and some fall on shallow ground and never come to maturity, and some be choked to death by the thorns; nonetheless a harvest will come.\u00a0 The seed that falls on good soil, on the heart that is receptive, will reap abundant fruit.
