data-font-family=\"default\">\uff09\uff0c\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u72b9\u592a\u4eba\u5730\u533a\u3002\u7531\u4e8e\u8036\u7a23\u5728\u90a3\u91cc\u884c\u4e86\u4e94\u997c\u4e8c\u9c7c\u4ee5\u53ca\u9a71\u9b54\u6cbb\u75c5\u7b49\u795e\u8ff9\uff0c\u4e00\u4e9b\u72b9\u592a\u4eba\u70ed\u70c8\u62e5\u6234\u8036\u7a23\uff0c\u60f3\u7acb\u4ed6\u4e3a\u738b\uff0c\u800c\u53e6\u4e00\u4e9b\u53cd\u5bf9\u4ed6\u7684\u4eba\u53d8\u672c\u52a0\u5389\u56db\u5904\u6311\u523a\uff0c\u5728\u8fd9\u53cd\u5bf9\u4e0e\u6b22\u8fce\u7684\u53cc\u91cd\u538b\u529b\u4e0b\uff0c\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u5c31\u9000\u5230\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u5730\u533a\u63d0\u6d1b\u3001\u6f06\u51ac\u5883\u5185\u3002\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u9000\u5230\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u5730\u533a\u53bb\u53ef\u80fd\u6709<\/span><span data-font-family=\"default\">\uff1b\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u66f4\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u5c06\u798f\u97f3\u4f20\u7ed9\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\uff0c\u8bc1\u660e\u72b9\u592a\u4eba\u770b\u4e0d\u8d77\u7684\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u4e5f\u662f\u5929\u4e3b\u6240\u7231\u7684\u767e\u59d3\uff0c\u662f\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u6240\u8981\u6551\u8d4e\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u518d\u4e00\u6b21\u8bc1\u660e\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u662f\u5168\u4eba\u7c7b\u7684\u6551\u4e3b\u3002<\/span><\/p><p><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u5c31\u5728\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u5e26\u7740\u95e8\u5f92\u4eec\u6765\u5230\u63d0\u6d1b\u548c\u6f06\u51ac\u8fd9\u4e00\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u5ba2\u7eb3\u7f55\u5987\u5973\u6765\u5230\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u9762\u524d\uff0c\u6c42\u8036\u7a23\u6cbb\u597d\u5979\u5973\u513f\u7684\u75c5\uff0c\u628a\u9644\u5728\u5979\u5973\u513f\u8eab\u4e0a\u7684\u9b54\u9b3c\u9a71\u9010\u6389\u3002\u867d\u7136\u8036\u7a23\u6ca1\u6709\u9a6c\u4e0a\u7b54\u5e94\u5979\u7684\u8981\u6c42\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u5148\u7528\u5404\u79cd\u65b9\u5f0f\u8003\u9a8c\u5979\u7684\u4fe1\u5fb7\uff0c\u4f46\u6700\u540e\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u8fd8\u662f\u56e0\u90a3\u4f4d\u6bcd\u4eb2\u4f1f\u5927\u7684\u4fe1\u5fb7\uff0c\u800c\u6cbb\u597d\u4e86\u5979\u5973\u513f\u7684\u75c5\u3002\u8036\u7a23\u501f\u6b64\u544a\u8bc9\u4eba<\/span><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u6551\u6069\u5df2\u4e34\u5230\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4e0d\u4ec5\u65bd\u6069\u7ed9\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\uff0c\u4e5f\u65bd\u6069\u7ed9\u4fe1\u9760\u4ed6\u7684\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u662f\u5168\u4eba\u7c7b\u7684\u6551\u4e3b\u3002<\/span><\/p><p><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u4eca\u5929\u5f25\u6492\u7684\u8bfb\u7ecf\u4e00\u4f9d\u6492\u610f\u4e9a\u5148\u77e5\u4e66\u7684\u4e3b\u9898\u662f\uff1a\u547c\u5401\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u7688\u4f9d\u4e0a\u4e3b\u3001\u4f8d\u5949\u4e0a\u4e3b\u3001\u7231\u6155\u4e0a\u4e3b\u7684\u540d\uff0c\u505a\u7942\u7684\u4ec6\u4eba\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u4e0a\u4e3b\u8981\u9886\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0a\u7942\u7684\u5723\u5c71\uff0c\u4f7f\u4ed6\u4eec\u5728\u7942\u7948\u7977\u7684\u6bbf\u91cc\u6b22\u4e50\uff0c\u7942\u7684\u6bbf\u5b87\u5c06\u79f0\u4e3a\u4e07\u6c11\u7684\u7948\u7977\u6240\u3002<\/span><\/p><p><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u5728\u4eca\u5929\u5f25\u6492\u7684\u8bfb\u7ecf\u4e8c\u4e2d\uff0c\u5723\u4fdd\u7984\u5b97\u5f92\u5411\u6211\u4eec\u9610\u660e\u7684\u4e3b\u9898\u4e5f\u662f\u201c\u8036\u7a23\u662f\u4e07\u6c11\u7684\u6551\u4e3b\u201d\u3002\u5723\u4fdd\u7984\u5b97\u5f92\u773c\u89c1\u5929\u4e3b\u7684\u9009\u6c11\u6297\u62d2\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u798f\u97f3\uff0c\u975e\u5e38\u75db\u5fc3\uff0c\u4f46\u4ed6\u5e76\u4e0d\u7070\u5fc3\uff1b\u4ed6\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u7aed\u529b\u8bbe\u6cd5\u8ba9\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u7688\u4f9d\u8036\u7a23\uff0c\u53e6\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u4ed6\u6697\u4e2d\u70ed\u5207\u671f\u671b\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u540c\u80de\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u80fd\u56de\u5fc3\u8f6c\u610f\uff0c\u56e0\u91cd\u65b0\u63a5\u7eb3\u8036\u7a23\u3001\u4fe1\u8ba4\u8036\u7a23\u800c\u5f97\u6551\u3002<\/span><\/p><p><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u5404\u4f4d\u5f1f\u5144\u59d0\u59b9\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u56e0\u9886\u53d7\u6d17\u793c\u800c\u6210\u4e3a\u65b0\u7ea6\u7684\u5929\u4e3b\u5b50\u6c11\uff0c\u4f46\u8fd9\u5e76\u4e0d\u4fdd\u8bc1\u6211\u4eec\u56e0\u6b64\u5c31\u4e00\u5b9a\u80fd\u5f97\u6551\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u6211\u4eec\u50cf\u65e7\u7ea6\u4e2d\u7684\u5929\u4e3b\u9009\u6c11\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u4e00\u6837\uff0c\u80cc\u5f03\u5929\u4e3b\uff0c\u4e0d\u4fe1\u8ba4\u8036\u7a23\u4e3a\u6551\u4e3b\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u5931\u53bb\u6551\u6069\u3002\u76f8\u53cd\u7684\uff0c\u90a3\u4e9b\u81f3\u4eca\u5c1a\u672a\u9886\u6d17\u7684\u6559\u5916\u4eba\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u4ed6\u4eec\u80fd\u63a5\u7eb3\u8036\u7a23\u3001\u4fe1\u8ba4\u8036\u7a23\uff0c\u5c06\u6765\u4e5f\u80fd\u5f97\u6551\u6069\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u7684\u5f25\u6492\u8bfb\u7ecf\u65e2\u662f\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5929\u4e3b\u5b50\u5973\u7684\u8b66\u544a\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u7ed9\u5916\u6559\u4eba\u7684\u5e0c\u671b\u3002<\/span><\/p><h2><b><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u4e8c\u3001\u4e3b\u65bd\u6551\u6069\u6709\u5148\u540e<\/span><\/b><\/h2><p><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u5f53\u90a3\u4f4d\u5ba2\u7eb3\u7f55\u5987\u5973\u5411\u8036\u7a23\u6c42\u6551\u65f6\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u6700\u521d\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u7406\u5979\u3002\u95e8\u5f92\u4eec\u56e0\u70e6\u90a3\u5987\u5973\u5728\u4ed6\u4eec\u201c\u540e\u9762\u4e0d\u505c\u5730\u558a\u53eb\u201d\uff0c\u5c31\u6c42\u8036\u7a23\u6ee1\u8db3\u5979\u7684\u8981\u6c42\uff0c\u8ba9\u90a3\u5987\u5973\u8d76\u7d27\u8d70\u65f6\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u56de\u7b54\u95e8\u5f92\u4eec\u8bf4\uff1a\u201c\u6211\u88ab\u6d3e\u9063\uff0c\u53ea\u662f\u4e3a\u4e86\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u5bb6\u5931\u8ff7\u7684\u7f8a\u3002\u201d\uff08\u739b<\/span><span data-font-family=\"default\">\u521d\u542c\u8036\u7a23\u8fd9\u53e5\u8bdd\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f1a\u89c9\u5f97\u8036\u7a23\u4f3c\u4e4e\u4e0d\u613f\u610f\u5e2e\u52a9\u90a3\u4f4d\u5916\u90a6\u5987\u5973\u3002\u5176\u5b9e\uff0c\u4e3b\u7684\u56de\u7b54\u4e0d\u662f\u62d2\u7edd\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a\u8036\u7a23\u8fd9\u53e5\u8bdd\u4e2d\u7684\u201c\u53ea\u662f\u201d\u4e8c\u5b57\u662f\u5e0c\u4f2f\u6765\u8bed\u98ce\uff0c\u610f\u601d\u662f\uff1a\u7942\u88ab\u6d3e\u9063\u7684\u9996\u8981\u4efb\u52a1\u662f\u4e3a\u4e86\u62ef\u6551\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u5f53\u4e2d\u90a3\u4e9b\u5df2\u8fdc\u79bb\u5929\u4e3b\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u662f\u8bf4\uff1a\u7942\u5bf9\u5176\u4ed6\u6c11\u65cf\u6beb\u4e0d\u5173\u5fc3\u3002\u4e5f\u6b63\u56e0\u5982\u6b64\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u4e00\u5f00\u59cb\u6ca1\u6709\u7b54\u5e94\u90a3\u4f4d\u5916\u90a6\u5987\u5973\u7684\u8bf7\u6c42\uff0c\u540e\u6765\u56e0\u5979\u518d\u4e09\u7684\u8bf7\u6c42\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u770b\u5230\u5979\u90a3\u4e48\u4fe1\u9760\u4ed6\uff0c\u5c31\u6ee1\u8db3\u4e86\u5979\u7684\u8bf7\u6c42\uff0c\u628a\u5979\u5973\u513f\u7684\u75c5\u7ed9\u6cbb\u597d\u4e86\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u8fd9\u53e5\u8bdd\u662f\u5411\u6211\u4eec\u8868\u660e\uff1a\u5929\u4e3b\u7684\u6551\u6069\u867d\u7136\u662f\u7ed9\u4e07\u6c11\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u62ef\u6551\u6709\u7740\u5148\u540e\u6b21\u5e8f\u7684\u4e0d\u540c\u3002<\/span><\/p><p><span data-role=\"outer\"><p align=\"justify\"><strong>A house of prayer for all people<\/strong><\/p><p align=\"justify\">During today&#8217;s First Reading from the Book of Isaiah, [Is. 56:1, 6-7], we heard the Words of the Lord God, &#8220;My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.&#8221; [Is. 56:7] In this prophetic exhortation and warning, the Lord promised to bring to His holy mountain all the foreigners, the Gentiles, who unite themselves to Him.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Today&#8217;s Reading from the Gospel of Matthew, [Mt. 15:21-28] the account of Jesus and the Canaanite woman, is one of the rare encounters of Jesus with Gentiles. As you all heard earlier, when Jesus went to the district of Tyre and Sidon, [Mt. 15:21] in Southern Phoenicia, He was approached by a woman who abounded in love for her daughter who was tormented by a demon. [Mt. 15:22] Most likely have heard of the great miracles that Jesus was performing towards the Jewish people, this Canaanite woman took it upon herself to personally locate Jesus and to beg His mercy on her.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">What is unusual about this event is that the woman was a Canaanite. In Deuteronomic literature, the Canaanites was viewed as a very sinful race that embodied every possible evil and godlessness. The Canaanites were viewed as a nation that was to be exterminated. It was not the general practice for the Jewish people to mix with the Samaritans, also, it was not the general practice for them to mix with the Canaanites. So what was Jesus to do when He was approached by a race that was avoided by the Jewish people?<\/p><p align=\"justify\">At first, he ignored her. He did not answer her at all. [Mt. 15:23] The more Jesus ignored her, the more the woman shouted, &#8220;Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!&#8221; The more the woman shouted, the more the disciples of Jesus were getting annoyed and urged Jesus to send her away so she will stop shouting. In this particular case, when the disciples were urging Jesus to dismiss the woman, this was not a request to just get rid of her. Based on the exact meaning of the original writing of this passage of the Holy Scripture, their request was for Jesus to dismiss the woman by granting her petition.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">To this, Jesus answered, &#8220;I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.&#8221; [Mt. 15:24] How harsh these words must have sounded to the woman. It was like saying to her, &#8220;God&#8217;s mercy is only for my people, the Palestinians. You are a Canaanite; go away!&#8221; This incident would be similar to someone going to a priest to confess his sins and the priest tells him to go away because he only hears the confessions of those of a certain nationality. Talk about discrimination! Was Jesus going to discriminate?<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Anyway, the determined lady knew a good thing when she saw it and she was not about to give up on Jesus. She threw herself at His feet and repeated herself, &#8220;Lord, help me.&#8221; [Mt. 15:25] Jesus responded, &#8220;It is not fair to take the children&#8217;s food and throw it to the dogs.&#8221; [Mt. 15:26] To this, she answered, &#8220;Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master&#8217;s table.&#8221; [Mt. 15:27] Seeing how great her faith was, she having remarkably persisted, Jesus told her, &#8220;Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish. And her daughter was healed instantly.&#8221; [Mt. 15:28]<\/p><p align=\"justify\">The conversation that took place between Jesus and the Canaanite woman is an example of dialogues that are admired in the Near East. Many refer to this type of dialogue as wisdom. Why wisdom? Because it requires a certain ability to match a riddle with a riddle, a wise saying with another wise saying, an insult with another insult, or as in the case of today&#8217;s Reading, to turn an insult into a commitment. In affirming His having been sent to minister to the Jewish nation, Jesus appeared to be very harsh towards the Canaanite woman.
